The Emergent Leaders Network (ELN) is a non-profit, 501(c)3 organization that promotes and supports individuals, institutions and organizations committed to helping community college students complete higher education, become community leaders and develop into successful professionals.
In 2011, ELN went to work fundraising for its first scholarships. ELN also held a career panel focusing on entrepreneurship for local community college students in Washington, DC. In the long term, ELN will combine the power of micro-scholarships, professional networks and mentorship to connect, empower, and develop community college students and alumni in the social science and business fields. Learn more about our (brief!) history.
Community college is a financially responsible option in an era of economic uncertainty and overwhelming student loans. And with ELN's Micro-Scholarship initiative, you can create real change in the life of an emerging leader through a small donation. ELN looks for students who have never received a scholarship before, are the first in their families to attend college, are working part-time, are involved in their communities, and are committed to completing their education. Learn more about our micro-scholarship work -- and how you can get involved.
